Breaking News

I had requested for pictures of Daniel Radcliffe and girlfriend Laura O' Toole and guess what? I found some of 'em. And very disgusted, with Dan's taste(though he himself isnt the most handsome guy on earth)....i show
it to my friends reading my blog...

Left pic: Dan with Laura
Right pic: Laura O'Toole
I wonder if you people have heard the proverb 'Feathers of a bird flock together'. I think it applies very well here. दोनो बेशरम लोग एक साथ नहीं रहेंगे तो कौन इन्हें accept करेगा। i.e. Both of them have no shame, so they are of similar characteristics....And anyways, Dan has nothing good about him to speak the truth. he is just a बेशरम, गित्था इन्सान। Shameless short guy who has loads of money, and let the Potter time get over. I'll see which movies he'll work in, coz he is a very chep guy. If you'd told me i'd talk about Dan like this 2 years ago, i would have cried..but hey i was an idiot at one pointa time, like everybody is..and about Laura she looks more like his bodyguard more than anything else, blame her face.
And for heavens' sake, i am not jealous(if any1 still has that illusion).

Harry Potter 7....and not to forget Harry Potter 5(the movie)

Can you just believe it??...It's just 1 month before..the final, the last of the harry potter books release...and people are just creating weird theories, posting them on net..but all of us are forgetting that this will be the last time you run to a bookstore early in the morning to get hold of the first copy....this will be the last time, you'll drag yourself out of bed at 6am in the morning and run to the bookstore watever be the conditions just to get into the wizarding world one last time to see what happens to harry ...okay..now i'm getting emotional abt this...and there's just 28 days for the movie to release....i dunno how many people are actually waiting for the release of the movie than that of the book...and now to one of the weird theories i've witnessed on the net..Harry's a horcrux...this was given in a poll on mugglenet..and it's so damn weird..although i cant help believing it..coz they've got a point that Harry's got voldy's powers so voldy might have turned him into a horcrux....pretty debatable..

i havent got anything to more to say...but i really wonder whether snape's really joined voldy or not..coz voldy might be an expert legilimens but snape is pretty good at occulemency(srry if the spelling's a bit off track)..another thing really to wonder abt is that will neville play a major role in the 7th book(coz of the prophecy) and as about petunia dursley-does she have magical powers too?..coz ive heard that a person whos not used magic ever before and will use it now..coz petunia is harry's aunt it's possible that she too might be a witch..and who is rab?........possibly regulus black..dunno who..but it's fun guessing until the final moment

does any one have any idea where to download harry potter movies & soundtracks from?

pls. tell me

Reflection on 2007

Hello peeps(weird term aint it!)...i prefer saying Hello People!!
My chutti has begun..and now im completely veli to do what i want....tomorrow is Devika's birthday...and happy birthday to her...i've not got much to tell u about...Today we have a class party as it was the last working day of 2007..it looks like a distant dream from thia point of time.Vivan's cake/pie,My Chocolates and loads of pepsi & chips made by last working day of 2007 a very good one. I'm getting pretty sentimental about the year gone by with a swish(as it appears)...just keeping with memories of a beautiful year with it's own share of embarrassing, angry, happy, childish, nutty and all kinds of moments...wow! i got pretty emotional there.

Talking about the year gone by, as im not feeling like talking about anything else. It was pretty imp. from the point of view of a Potter fan as it saw the release of the last book & the 5th movie. I wonder if any Potter fan remembers the excitement on the night of 20th july.Well, atleast i do how i just kept speculating what will happen in the book and i wouldnt fib that i didnt fall asleep, but when i slept all i could see was Harry's world.

That was not all which made the year a good one for the world in general. The later part of the year proved to be pretty lucky for sports. The Inaugral 20-20 World Cup win being at the helm of all wins especially as it was the first 20-20 cup ,also because of a win over Pakistan in the finals, as India is considered an arch rival of Pakistan, which i consider a very purana concept coz now the countries are shaking hands and making efforts for friendship and ofcourse, coz the game is cricket.

But, India's other sports achievements were not overshadowed and it is pretty well known that India won the Asia Cup(in hockey) beating Korea in the finals.

And who can forget Viswanathan Anand's Chess World Championship win (how can they cause many dont even know of it).

Sorry for being sarcastic, but India isnt exactly the nation which would go in a chess frenzy, though people go in for Hockey, but comparatively less than Cricket( coz of big money & fame) but much more than Chess...But who cares, coz it's just another star on India's Sports Report Card and i know that's the only thing in mind for a person representing the nation other than love of the sport when he/she thinks of winning.

Anyways, i gotta go...my mom's calling me
Bonne Nuit

Whatever

Dear Friends,
I've been very busy lately and hence, unable to update my blog. Before i go on to something else, i would like to wish a very happy birthday to SoJo from http://www.wordsnbeyond.blogspot.com/.
Now coming to me(im a very self-centric person u see)...I have just read Eldest and i've heard that the 3rd book will release on 23rd September '08. If you want to know the review of Eldest in one word it would be "Amazing". But, unlike the Potter books in which you can get hooked to the series by reading any part as in i began with the 4th. In Inheritance Trilogy, you have to read Eragon (the first one ) to understand what's happening in the sequels. And i just read on Shurtugal that there will be 2 more books...and to speak the truth i thought this would happen.
Talking about this week in school..Average. I didnt go to school on Thursday as i was overcome by fatigue.
The week began with fighting with rowdy boys(monday), On Tuesday i met with 2 girls who think themselves to be very clever & intelligent, but actually they are nothing but Stupid fibbers(i can use better terms, but i dont wish to dirty my computer). On Wednesday, I hardly studied anything. On Thursday, my will power gave away to my hectic schedule and fatigue overcame(as mentioned above). On Friday, well not a bad day after all.
Today was my PTA and nothing interesting really happened.
Anyways, that's all for today..i gotta study french & complete my mom's office presentation.

Om shanti Om maine dekhli

After days of dramatics, tears & tantrums, I saw Shahrukh's latest blockbuster, the much publicised & hyped- Om Shanti Om . The movie in one word is good. It's basically about the junior artist-Om Prakash who falls in love with superstar Shantipriya and befriends her only to know that she is married to Mukesh Mehra(the villain) since 2 years and Mukesh Mehra is this very greedy guy who wants to marry a rich man's daughter who will give him a big studio in dowry. But when Shanti tells Mukesh that she's pregnant it's bound to destroy Mukesh's career and he burns her. But Om witnesses the crime committed by Mukesh Mehra, and in trying to save Shanti's life he ends up getting gravely injured andfalls infront of Rakesh Kapoor, a famous actor's car. He is then born in Rakesh Kapoor's family and then the story goes on to tell that how he avenges Shanti's death.

Two dialogues i loved from the film ought to be-

"अगर तुम किसी चीज़ को सच्चे दिल से चाहो तो पूरी कायानाथ तुम्हे वो चीज़ दिलाने मी लग जाती हैं" i.e. if you really wish something to happen the whole world tries to make that happen.

a

"..अगर फिल्म कि एंडिंग अच्छी न ,हो तो यह फिल्म का अंत नहीं. फिल्म अभी बाकी हैं मेरे दोस्त। i.e.

if the film does not have a happy ending than the film has not finished yet.

Actors

Shahrukh as usual is amazing as the junior artist and the spoilt son of the Superstar. Though, he exaggerates the spoilt son. The Dard-e-Disco 6 pack abs are good, but not amazing.

Deepika has really made a stunning debut. Her acting is fabulous in the scene where Shanti is dying. And the way she smiles in the Ajab Si song is amazing. She looks cute as Sandy too and i love her clothes when she came for the audition and it's very cute when she faints on seeing OK.

Shreyas Talpade has done an amazing job as Pappu, the friend of Om. I love the way they(om & pappu) put back their hair.

Kirron Kher is great as the very dramatic mom of Om Prakash Makhija. And the faces she makes during the auditions are very umm...funny.

All -in -all it's a must watch for all those in love with Bollywood. The song & dance sequences are amazing and all those who said Om Shanti Om is bad - "GO TO HELL!!".

gossip part 2

Hiya!
Im back with version 2 of gossip.Filmi duh!!!
Here is the link to the rediff review of Saawariya
http://www.rediff.com/movies/2007/nov/08saawariya.htm and a very interesting review of saawariya which i think is saying that the film is good is on this page - http://www.chitramala.com/telugu-movie-reviews/saawariya-129.html. I dont know if the person who has written the review is acting sarcastic or whatever.
Now as i am talking about SA so i ought to talk about OSO अर्थात Om Shanti Om. om shanti om which is said to have good ratings has it's review on
http://www.chitramala.com/telugu-movie-reviews/om-shanti-om-132.html and the rediff review- http://www.rediff.com/movies/2007/nov/09oso.htm
Next you are to judge! If you've seen either film tell me what u think as comments.

As i am talking about OSO how can anyone forget the big Dhoni-Deepika chakkar. Deepika went to see the match and team india won। and dhoni went to see the match on the 1st day itself along with Robin & Irfan. Also present were Sachin and Sourav with family.

below is the dhoni-deepika vid i found on youtube..u guys should see it and it's titled धोनी & दीपिका-रांची का बन्दा बहुत स्मार्ट होता हैं..सच्ची बात बोली भैय्यो .

[The trio (Harman-Priyanka-Dhoni) is all set to spend some quality time together in London. A source said, "She wants to take a break and do nothing but shop, relax and enjoy. Two of her very close friends Harman and Dhoni will be accompanying her. They will leave around mid-November." The actress is apparently "very conscious about Dhoni's image" and has been giving him grooming tips, from what to wear to how to talk.Source: Indiafm ]

Now going back to something more interesting which i am still searchin' for..is there anything interesting in the world to talk about?..Except Dhoni-Deepika,India vs Pak,Pak emergency,Sachin's kid is angry with him and so on and so forth. if there is please tell me coz after gossip part 2 im pathetically bored of gossip and want to write on some real cool stuff.
Note:the cool stuff does not include in anyways hot guys or cool guys or guys in general nor shud it be soo feminine that i puke! And about that Dhoni-Harman-Priyanka thingy really im not interested & i wonder how dhoni can be in london!!!!

gossip

hiya all!!
im back...0k i was busy the whole week courtesy-NTSE,Maths M.T. and ofcourse the monthly copy completing project i.e. i complete my copies only once a month when they are to be submitted to the teacher.
and how can i forget diwali..it was boring in the start but then it was fun i maroed masti(had fun) for about 2 hours and hv not studied in the whole 2 days.
Now coming to my topic gossip it's not the typical ladies kinda gossip that rajni ka beta fail ho gaya or sumi ki tang toot gayi(typical khichdi gossip)..excuse moi! I aint that pathetically downmarket.
I was just doing timepass when i came across a report that Dan Radcliffe(dont tell me u dont know him) is dating Equus co-star Laura O'Toole(do tell me if u know her) & is 4 years elder to him!!! I read somewhere that they have been dating since May this year( i dunno if it's true ) and Laura O'Toole earns & 7 pounds an hour working at a food stall.this is kinda wacky...any1 having pics pls. post as in comments. And Emma broke up with tom ducker poor girl she's very sad. You'll find more guys dont cry.He must be a completly 3rd class person to have left u.
Now coming 2 home turf-Bollywood...the much hyped about diwali releases Om Shanti Om and Saawariya are out and hence is the verdict of the janta janardhan(the great indian audience).

As i've seen neither film all that i can gather from TV reports is that Saawariya is a slow-paced,boring & purana kinda love story set in a town where everything is blue-blue and nocturnal where Ranbir Kapoor keeps dancing & singing to Sonam Kapur who keeps hiding behind burkhas, curtains, walls whatever comes her way..all in all 1 star from Rajeev Masand and i always keep his review in mind before watching any film and i recommend this to you 2. Talking about the cast people have adored Ranbir Kapoor and some stupid girls go like.."He's so cute!!!!","He is hott!!" and "He is an amazing dancer, Hrithik's got tons of competition"..All i gotta say about the young man from the trailers "Cool!"and that's the end of it. As for Sonam she does not appear to have become a favourite but has received average ratings for her actings but many are saying there aint much she could have done with her role.

Coming to Om Shanti Om people were going like time pass, paisa vasool, mirch masala film and better than Saawariya. And ppl. as usual loved SRK and Deepika they say is gorgeous.Shreyas has played his part well & Arjun Ramphal was excellent as the villain. unfortunately i missed Rajeev masand's review which is always an eye opener. Many including my mom were sayin' it's a copy of karz which i have simply no idea about as i have seen neither.
Now that all Diwali Shiwali is over there ois not much to look forward to except NTSE,the diabolic test cycle and ofcourse final exam and then Class 9th. The first step in the great Indian Rat Race to bell the CAT or get into IIT & ivy-league & if your standard is not like that then some 3rd class college and then ofcourse get a job and so on and so forth and this makes me feel real creepy.

tommorrow is the 3rd ODI in Kanpur in the India vs Pak series. india lost the 2nd one on Thursday, all thanks to the great bowlers who i think were giving a Diwali gift to the pak team.

tv serials & their downmarket representation of indian society & women

I was completely bored today(in my free time that is). When i went to my dad's room and saw my maid watching some soap. Once i saw it i have to say that they represent a completely a pathetically downmarket, backward representation of the Indian society.
And they induce backward elements into the minds of the indian women watching them. If not completely but accurate but something near there are 5 main things that you'll observe in the serials-birth,death,marriage,divorce,slaps. the last thing being extremly dramatic with each character's face turning black & white and the camera zooming atleast 2 times on the face of each individual with a dhum sound. vamps are always shown to be working women, wearing western attire and the goody-goodies are shown to be the sari-clad,jewellery decked housewives ready to perform something nearly good as sati for any member of the family. What is this shit man??????
This completely shows that these people(scriptwriters) are pathetically downmarket people with completely backward views on women and who are only worried about how much cash they rake in by showing crap and inducing shit in the minds of Indian women. Hence, they act as a barrier in the development of Indian Society.

And the representation of the Indian Youth is complete rubbish & shit..they go to discos,drink,etc...Cut the crap outta here man!!! I think they've forgotten that how pressurised the youth is to earn for their parents, get admission in good colleges and they DO NOT at all go to discos. Who has the time? It's time the scriptwriters go out take in a deep breath and observe what's happening out there in the big world which has families with only women as earning members and they ARE NOT decked with tons of jewellery & sarees.

December Boys

Sorry for not updating for a long time but i am very busy presently...Here are some reviews and a banner of the latest Dan Radcliffe film 'December Boys..

"..a refreshingly gentle treatment of familiar themes such as the inevitability of change, the dashing of youthful illusions and mutability of family.."
by Kevin Crust [LA Times]
"..a perfectly pleasant drama.."
3 of 5
by William Thomas [Empire Magazine]

Detailed REview

from http://www.movies.ign.com
Compared to some of the other films it opens opposite of this weekend -- specifically, Mr. Woodcock, Fierce People and Moving McAllister -- December Boys is practically Best Picture material. Unfortunately, it seems to already be aware of this fact; its tagline, completely seriously, is no less than: "After that summer nothing would ever be the same again." Not to mention the fact that it's about four orphans with cute nicknames coming of age in 1960s Australia, and based on a novel that is no doubt acclaimed, beloved or somehow revered.

In other words, the film serves a few purposes other than simple entertainment. First, it's Oscar bait for studios unprepared to send out their A-list material -- I see a back-end distribution deal somewhere in this film's recent past. Then, for commercial purposes, it's the kind of film that makes multiplex drones feel good about watching "art" when the weekend's big blockbuster is sold out, but which doesn't challenge them too much. But is it good? Well, let's just say I don't see this film staying in theaters until October, much less December. But as a slightly smarter alternative to the low-end tripe being delivered into theaters this weekend, December Boys is a moderately engaging coming of age story.

Making an appropriately modest departure from the Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe plays Maps, one of four orphans who goes on holiday on the South Australian coast. Nicknamed the December Boys because of their birthdays, the foursome -- comprised of Maps, Misty (Lee Cormie), Sparks (Christian Byers), and Spit (James Fraser) -- have always been best friends, not the least of which reasons because they are rapidly growing too old to be viable adoptees. But when they discover a couple living on the coast that is interested in possibly adopting a child, their friendships are tested as they compete to put on the best face and hopefully win the family each of them has always wanted.

It's an overstatement to say that Radcliffe is the film's star, but he plays a key role as the oldest of the orphans and the first to really discover life's cruelties. Meanwhile, Cormie's Misty is really the focus of the film, serving as both the narrator and the protagonist once the orphans' competition for the attention of the young couple begins. But the disparate strands of not one but four coming of age stories never quite come together, and generate a fairly broad landscape of boys-to-men cliches, including first sexual experiences, romantic disappointments, and requisite moments of maturation.

That said, director Rod Hardy's touch is generally so delicate that you seldom mind that you're watching the same stories that have been told countless times before; no matter how predictable the story beats, Hardy never over-emphasizes any of them for the purpose of a false dramatic crescendo. Rather, he maintains a consistent and effective balance between the boys' slow coming of age and our awareness of that experience, generating real sympathy as well as a sense of enjoyment watching these conventions be exercised yet again in a new environment.

Additionally, Hardy leavens the dramatic tones of this "poor orphan" story with more than a few moments of imagination and whimsy, passingly recalling the magic realism of Peter Jackson's vastly superior Heavenly Creatures -- without the murder, thankfully. But overall, even the film's deft manipulation of these familiar formulas fails to elevate it to more than a movie that we should take as seriously as it takes itself. In other words, December Boys is good, but not great; and as far as coming of age stories are concerned, when a movie tells you that after watching it nothing will ever be the same again, the likelihood is pretty high that everything actually in the film will be exactly the same as what you've seen before.
- Todd Gilchrist

I dunno if i will ever get to see the movie...but i think it's fine movie on the basis of these reviews.
That's all for today folks!

i have not updated this blog much since the 7th book released & i saw the movie....The movie & book was great and now that the harry potter fever has died down i.e. People are not very interested in listening to the Tales of Mr.Potter anymore nor do they want to listen to interesting facts is used to go about telling 'em. Nothing really big as Harry is here right now and to write the truth it feels weird thinking that all Pottermania has ended. It sometimes makes you feel odd because i suppose the only thing for which people used to talk to me was Harry Potter and now that as i said all has ended i am more quite.
Now getting to the 7th book....Does anybody think that the Epilogue was of any use???
I dont...just thinking of Harry to be called Dad & Ginny MOM is weird..wacky kinda. Even Hermione & ron being parents as well, that's so completely wacky although Ron doesn't change much over the 19 years he still remains the funny guy. As for the rest of the book it's pretty cool except where People die and that's pathetic, although all expected it.
As for the Movie, it's fine..it's cool...But i've just seen it once in the Cinema Hall. I love that fighting sequence in the Department of Mysteries, Ministry of Magic and the one in which Dumbledore vanishes with that fire thingy. But, some of the most awaited parts like the one in which Harry gets angry at Dumbledore and they quarrel is not there in the movie. Harry gets really angry at Dumbledore as given in the book & i was waiting to see that anger on Dan's face as Harry.
Moving from Harry Potter to the muggle World which is now free from the spell of Harry,I saw the critically acclaimed film-The Blue Umbrella today. It's a very sweet & cute film, but cant set the Box Office on fire as it is said. The movie is slow, and that's probably the reason. The rating i got from my classmates can be described in one word-Pathetic, because nobody really tried to understand what was really happening.
I am busy and I gotta go..So I gotta go....
Bye

New Experience, Dummies & Me

Dan Radcliffe
Harry Potter

Hello!!!

I've added new profile icons to my site.....i've completed my holiday homework & am doing my sister's work at present......i've got my hindi test on monday...i havent even touched my syllabus & am really worried....yesterday, i had my first hindi theatre class in 8th..and i must say all the dumb, idiotic & the pathetically downmarket crowd has joined theatre like mohit & all dummies...from being the activity of the popular people at school to being the activity of the dummy crowd...Hindi Theatre has come a long way. And as for leaving Western Vocal , im glad in a way. coz i pretty much thought myself to be a mis-fit there and other then that i dont have the talent!!

I've finally realised after 3 long years of having a crush on Dan that it's not actually Dan i have a crush on, thanks to a short conversation i had with my friend Aastha......i realised i had actually liked the character of Harry all the way, just he had Dan's face...Many people think im nuts that i talk about my crushes so freely on the net.....or in class...but hey im never gonna meet them that i'll get embarassed or red in the face.

I've got loads of homework to do! And im feeling hungry as well so i gotta go!!!

And hey people dont forget to log onto: orangeranger.piczo.com

Now, our marks are gonna be slashed by 50%...isnt that soo dam n stupid & irritating & bugging.....and i've not even touched my french holiday homework....and u know im the topper in french.i get 50%...so if my marks are slashed by 50%..i'll get a ZERO!!!!!
